Chambres D’Amis Birmingham (I&II)
(after Jan Hoet)

Jan Hoet, a Belgian curator from Ghent, (Belgium) organised in 1986 an exhibition in Ghent using people's private houses.
Chambres d'Amis-Birmingham used the private houses of people living in Birmingham, the houses were used for small events/concerts in April 2014.
Each invited composer got a one month residency in one of these private houses. The residency finished with a final open-house event.
The audience got a map, showing where all these houses were. People can take part individually or in small groups as an enjoyable sunday walk to all of these houses. The pieces were performed continuously between 11am and 5pm.

The event was succesfull so I organised it again in June 2014.
